Zoo Negara Pt3

Corner Talk: Module 4 Quiz 3 Servomechanism was done yesterday's night, 2020 hours. I got 9.5/10 while one of my colleagues earned himself 3 perfect home runs in a row. 3 times 10/10. Oh my God. That's madness and craziness. I have learned what is Flap Indicator in cockpit today, as it is related to the Servomechanism Differential Synchro that I am studying now. Thanks to Mr Au for the detailed explanation. Anyone know where is the location of Flap Indicator in B737?

Deer
They are very selective in their diet
Rather than attempt to digest vast quantities of low-grade,
fibrous food as, for example,
sheep and cattle do,
they prefer easily digestible shoots,
young leaves, fresh grasses and fruits.

Can anyone count the numbers of flamingos in this picture?
Ahaa ... Make sure you don't lose count,
otherwise, recount again!
Flamingos frequently stand on one leg.
Did you spot it inside the picture?
The reason for this behavior is not fully known.
One common theory is that tucking one leg beneath the body
may conserve body heat, but this has not been proven.
It is often suggested that this is done in part
to keep the legs from getting wet,
in addition to conserving energy.
As well as standing in the water,
flamingos may stamp their webbed feet in the mud
to stir up food from the bottom.

Lion King
With powerful legs, a strong jaw,
and approximately 8 cm long canine teeth,
the lion can bring down and kill large prey.
Weights for adult lions generally lie between 150–250 kg
for males and 120–182 kg for females.
The mane of the male lion,
unique amongst cats,
is one of the most distinctive characteristics of the species.
It makes the lion appear larger,
providing an excellent intimidation display;
this aids the lion during confrontations with
other lions and with the species' chief competitor

Not sure what bird is this?
Seem to be a Pelican or Flamingo?
Any idea anyone?

The Banana's Love

Jumbo, the Elephant
Do you know that?
With a mass just over 5 kg,
elephant brains are larger than those of any other land animal.
A wide variety of behaviors, including those associated with
grief, art, use of tools and allomothering are
the evidence of this intelligent species.
Elephants have well innervated trunks,
and an exceptional sense of hearing and smell.
The hearing receptors reside not only in ears,
but also in trunks that are sensitive to vibrations,
and most significantly feet,
which have special receptors for low frequency sound
and are exceptionally well innervated.

Peafowl are best known for the male's extravagant tail,
which it displays as part of courtship.
Ancient Chinese believe Peafowl is a mystical
bird on Earth after the heavenly Phoenix Bird.
The Emperor's costume is often sew with
Phoenix Bird pattern while the imperial officers
are only allowed to wear Peafowl's sew pattern.
If they were found out of wearing a
Phoenix Bird costume,
they will be executed for being disobedient
to the Emperor.

Giraffes,
an African even-toed ungulate mammal,
giraffe is the tallest of all land-living species.
Males can be 4.8 to 5.5 meters tall and
weigh up to 1,700 kilograms.
Giraffes have long necks which
they use to browse tree leaves.
The giraffe defends itself with a powerful kick.
A single well-placed kick from an adult giraffe
can shatter a lion's skull or break its spine.
So, beware ...
DO NOT STAND BEHIND GIRAFFES!!

That's concluded the end of our half day trip in Zoo Negara.
We love to take jump shot picture.
