Happy Holiday!

I am back! KCH, home sweet home!! Another series of staying overnight in KLIA to queue for my seat back KCH but this time, it was an once in a lifetime experience because I got to use ''jump seat'' with the pilots in A330-300 (MH2528). Thanks you, Cpt Shamsul Bakhry and F/O Abg Buddin for granting me a 'jump seat'. Hehe :)

Relief

Today, my exams finally ended. 3papers in 2weeks, that was ouch ... Stressful and hectic. After all, it was very worth tiring, as I have done my best and now I will pray and hope for the good harvests. Even though, I had made some minor mistakes here and there, I am glad and grateful with God's blessing for HE is always standing beside me through out the examinations.
Thanks you, God!!

Oh ya, not forgotten also, last night MU beat the s*** out of Liverpool with Carlos Tevez scored the winning goal, after feeding a deflected shot from Wayne Rooney. Hooo ...
Glory Glory MU!!

Wednesday (19th Dec) will be the beginning of METC semester year end break. Yahoo ... 2weeks for Christmas and New Year celebration. Quite short, but I can't ask for much. Life must go on.
Hehe :)

Flying back to KCH soon.

I miss you all, Mum and Dad ...

Cadet Pilot vs LAE

Early in the morning, METC boss was not so "happy" with our general appearance (comparing to cadet pilots, we were symbolized as junkie or hippies!) About 30++ of us with long, untidy hair were punished to stand under hot sun for an hour. As a consequences, we were given 45 minutes to cut our hair and came back for another inspection. Wow ... Frankly speaking, my hair was that long, maybe a bit untidy, so I was caught red-handed. Same things went to Daniel, Yong and Wen Jie. No choice, we had to go to SS14 to cut our hair. Thanks Daniel for driving us there!

Wen Jie's rear view after hair cut in saloon. Hehe ...
Wen Jie was damn pissed off with his new hairstyle. He have been complaining it for the whole afternoon.

Wen Jie's side view after hair cut. Hmmm, where is the side burn le? No worry, you are still Wen Jie ma ... No difference lei ... LOLZ!
______________________________________________________________

In the afternoon, we all went ot Malaysia Airlines Academy (MAA) in Kelana Jaya for the Cabin Crew Training Open Day. Great experience, as we got to experience the cabin interior stimulator of B747. For the first time in my life, I have been to the B747 Upper Deck First Class Seat. Wow ... That's very luxurious and exciting!!

Look at the MAS Superjumbo A380 waiting for us near MAA entrance.

That's the B747 Cabin Stimulator, specially designed for cabin crew training.

Mega Sales! I love it!! I bought an Airbus 330-300 model which is made of steel and it only costed me rm85. Wow, damn cheap le. So much worth it. Haha ... However, I was quite disappointed because we could not find any beautiful stewardess ... We missed them as they had left earlier before we had arrived. Sigh, what a waste!!

If I have a choice ...

My little heart whispered as I sat down and looked back ...

I hate myself,
How much I still miss you every time I think of you ...

I hate myself,
Why would I still care so much of you every time I know you were in trouble ...

I hate myself,
Why cant I let you go even though I know our sweet time has come to an end ...

b747 - 300 (HZ - AIR)

This week, I was stationed in Seat Bays Workshop, just beside Hangar 3, Line 7 and 8. Last Saturday, Saudi Arabia's B747-300 came in for HMV (Heavy Maintenance Review). So, all the aircraft seats, from passenger seats, cabin crews seats and pilots seats are sent into the workshop for inspection and overhaul. Imagine the size of B747, there are around 350++ seats come in at one time. Wow ... (*,*) We need to take off all the seats cover and accessories one by one, pieces by pieces, and you will never imagine how tiring it is, even the "Mighty Giant wen Jie" also cannot stand it out. Yong on the other hand, was like "playing hide and seek", walking around to hunt down "The Dragon" instead of "Snake" . Haha, Yong, no offense ok? Dont understand what I am trying to tell you all, well ... Read between the lines, man!!

Anyway, it was a nice experience as I got to stand side by side to the B747 aircraft for the first time. Face to face, can even touch its body some more. That's really amazed me!! "My dreams are a step closer", I whispered in my heart.

Last week in Complex A for OJT, so must grab this opportunity to learn as much as possible. Next week, it is going to be EXAMS WEEK.

Mechanical Workshop - Big Gears!!

This whole week I was stationed to Landing Gear Workshop. My foreman, Mr Nizam is a young and well capable man. I was quite shocked to see at the working environment when I first stepped into the place - quiet, cold and bored. Staffs were very unfriendly and harsh. They did not seem to welcome our presence at all except a few of them, who willingly to teach us. Thank you, Abg Din, Abg Nizam, Abg Sahir and Abg Kader for your patience and kindness in filling us with all sort of knowledge relating to Aircraft landing Gears.

Deceived Senses

Am I being sarcastic?
I doubt that
Am I a sadist?
I don't think so
Could I be the murderer and not the lover?
I probably could

You don't even know me
How can you ever care?
You try to sort things out
To break the tough nut in between
You, me and everyone else
It's your choice, your all
But all I've ever cared for is you

six degrees of separation
That's the distance between you and I
Look deep into me
And not just at the surface
Tell me, what do you see?
Can you tell the difference now?

Slide Down, and Stand Up! That's LIFE!!

My first week in MAS Complex A for my On-Job Training (OJT) was a fruitful experience as I got to learn and observe a lot of new things which were very much related to my field of study. I was stationed at Aircraft Support Workshop ( Safety Equipment). The Safety Equipment is divided into 3 areas, namely the Safety Slide Raft Area, FIREX (Fire Extinguisher) and Life Vast area. Yong, Suhaimi and me were in Safety Slide Raft Area. Our supervisor, Mr Zaidin is a friendly and responsible man who in charge of the workshop. I meet new friends, who are 'seniors' in this workshop; Amin, Abang Bulat (Indra), Mr 001, Mr Zulkarnian, Abg Emer, and Abg Mad J. They are very helpful and always willing to teach us from A-Z about the aircraft safety slide. I learn a lot of new knowledge and maintenance skill from them. I got to 'hands-on' with some simple tasks, such as inspection, testing, packing and repairing of slide. It really give me the exposure that I need so badly thus I will be able to adapt well in the aviation industry in future, right?

The "Semut Merah" METC trainees and the ASW Safety Slide Staffs

Thanks, everyone!

The Good Samaritan Part2

If you still can recall one of my earliest posts (The Good Samaritan), finally, I have an answer now. This evening when I was walking back to my condominium from the the car-park, this Indian guy who has been working as security guard, returned the money that he had borrowed from me last month. I apologized to that Indian man for misunderstanding him, and of course I have a bad impression on him when I first lent him the money. At least, I proved myself wrong, that there are still people in this world who are honest and trustworthy. I helped him because I believe in my heart that this person was really in difficulties, for he needed my assistance urgently. I do not ask anything in return and I will not mind even if he does not return the money to me! I was suspicious with my decision at first, but now I am very sure I did the correct thing!

Thank you God, for showing me Your power and mercy!!

Hurray ...
God bless!!

Karen Kong, the rising star ...

Karen Kong (Kong Ke Yin) performed a Spanish version of a song entitled Purest of Pain, which was originally sang by Son of 4 Four in Arena of Star, Genting Highlands in conjunction with the Nation Charity Show 2007. She is young, active and talented, especially her ability to sing songs in multi-language such as Bahasa Melayu, English, Mandarin and the latest Spanish. At the end of show, she dressed up in traditional Korean costume, in particular as a Korean Drum performer which caught the attention of the crowds. She danced gracefully as the Hong Kong singer, Chan Wei Lun sang the song, Jewel in The Palace, a theme for a popular Korean drama series. The purpose of that concert was to raise funds for the need, especially the for the 'special children'. The outcome, was a total of RM 65k collected thanks to the generosity and full participation by the public.

Karen Kong's new mandarin album - Showtime

Karen acts cute ... You are cute le ... :)

Supermodel Karen! ... Does she looks alike Fann Wong?

Happy Birthday Yong ...

Happy 19th Birthday to Yong, one of my best friends in METC on 13th November 2007 ...
May your wishes come true as God's lights shine on you always ...

To celebrate his birthday, we went for a dinner at Little Bally, SS15, PJ. We bought his a yogurt cream birthday cake. Haha :) Hope you enjoy it, Yong! A little to surprise to him to mark his 19th birthday; he was 'sabotaged' by j-kiml and Nicholas with the cake on his entire face. Hurray ...

Hmmm, overall Little Bally is a nice place with quite a romantic environment. Comparing Little Bally's food with Station oNe in SS15 as well, definitely Little Bally needs to brush up more. In my opinion, I think Little Bally is only famous for its drinks, especially hard liquor alcohol. By the way, I ordered a Honey Green Tea and it tasted no difference with typical green tea, yet worse still, it was so damn sweet! This was the lousiest green tea that I have ever drank, and seriously I mean it!!

One thing which made that night a memorable one, was I got to know this beautiful waitress. Wow, she is HOT and SEXY! A sweet, fair and attractive girl. Her name is ... Better keep it with myself. Haha. Well, next time if I ever drop by Little Bally again, maybe I may get a free drink from her ho? Haha ... ;)

ManUtd sails through in style

Manchester United put up another incredible performance to demolish Dynamo Kiev by bagging in 4 goals to cruise smoothly into the last 16 UEFA Champions League Knock Out phase. The triumph in front of the loyal supporters at The Theater of Dream marked a sweet memory for Sir Alex Ferguson as he celebrated his 21st years in charge at ManUtd's helm with 2o trophies under his belt, most recognizing, 9 EPL titles and 1 UEFA Champion League Cup. Goals from Spanish youngster, Gerard Pique put ManUtd in front on 31st minutes. Just moments later, Carlos Tevez played great masterpiece one two skill with Wayne Rooney to add another goal, hence ManUtd headed into dressing room with full confident. After the interval, both Wayne Rooney and Christiano Ronaldo made it double to secure the victory ... 8 goals against Dynamo Kiev, the Ukraine League Champion, both at home and away will definitely sends shock wave to the other European rivals, the likes of Arsenal, Barcelona, AC Milan and Real Madrid that ManUtd is able to challenge for the biggest prize in the spring before Euro 2008.

Hurray ManUtd ... Glory!!!

Human Factors

Human Factors Class used to be very bored and dull during Cat A programme. However, ever since the remedial class recently, I have changed my perspective. Now, the lesson is more lively with more focus on practical application rather than just theoretical study. Our lesson today is very much interesting and different as Mr Shaharil plans something 'unexpected' for us ...

We started off with building a paper aeroplane with an A4 paper. To make our aeroplane looks realistic, we were asked to write on our aeroplane's name, logo, and registration marks. Next, this is something very cool. We get to try on this "Paper Aeroplane Simulator" on the following address : http://www.workman.com/etcetera/games/fliersclub/

Click on this link and see whether you can fly your aeroplane at the furthest distance; our record: 90feets

After completing the simulator, we put our designed paper aeroplane to fly outside METC compound. It was really fun, and we managed to emerge as 1st runner up, one position behind Vicki's and Nantha's group. Yeah ... Hurrray, Group4

This is how our aeroplane looks like, the Boeing's Concorde ... Haha :)

The aerodynamics design of Concorde aircraft
enables its to fly at maximum speed up to Mach4

This is actually how our aeroplane looks like; a typical paper aeroplane
Does it looks similar to Boeing's Concorde? Hurray ... (",)

During the whole process at the very first beginning, we actually learn alot of Human Factors aspects which cover in our module. The method of learning is fun and meaningful, with everyone is really having an enjoyable and exciting moments.
Hurrayy ...

Human Factors in Aviation?

Complicated but manageable ... ;)

Tevez's double sinks Boro

Manchester United continued their winning streak with another champion's performance as they demolished Middlebrough by 4-1 at the Theater Of Dreams, Old Trafford last night. The home fans were truly overwhelmed as they witnessed a 'thunderbolt' goal from Luis Nani, which was tipped to be one of the goal of the season. Nani fired United in front with a fierce 30yards outside the box shot at upright corner of Boro's net when the game had just entered 3minutes age. However, the home fans were shocked awhile after Boro equalized in the 5th minutes through Jeremie Aliadiere's header which symbolized the first goal United had conceded at home. United could have make it double when Carlos Terez one on one with Mark Schwarzer shot were cleverly blocked by the Aussie. Just before half time, Rooney made full use of Stuart Downing's poor clearance by scoring another goal which put United went back into the dressing room with a lead. After the interval, United looked to be more consistent as they outplayed Boro in midfielder, particularly to the hard work of Anderson, Hargreaves, Ronaldo and Nani. As the clock hit 55th minutes, Tevez bang the net again after picking up an accurate back heel from Rooney. By 85th minutes, Tevez added more misery to Gareth Southgate's side by scoring a deflected goal from Boro's defender. It is a vital match as a full 3points from here will eventually lift United to the summit of EPL table, at least for another 24hours before Arsenal visits Liverpool at Anfield for this week explosive match. Definitely, the pressure is on Arsenal, who is determined to go back to top of the table. Will Arsenal manage to tame the under-performing Liverpool?

Nani made a somersault after scoring a spectacular goal

Glory, glory Man Utd ...

Yeah ...

All for you, Wen Jie ...

Yesterday, our friend, Wen Jie suffered an emotional disturbance as his mission to propose for this girl went out unexpectedly. He was sad, disappointed, confuse and lost heart. In order to cheer him up, Yong and I planned to bring him around the town to cool down and release his 'misery'. During Friday prayer lunch break, we went for Won Kok Char Chan Then in SS2, PJ. This place is a music cafe with Hong Kong restaurant environment. The food here is based on Hong Kong's favourite dishes, such as Ying-Yong Tea, Stocking Milk Tea, Cheese Steamed Rice with Pork and Hong Kong Mee. Besides, they do offer Western Cuisines as well. Prices? Well, it is equally reasonable ... Haha :)

Ah Nic, my Sarawakian friend and me in Won Kok Char Chan Then ...
Nic, no need to show your handsome face... :)

Wen Jie (L), smile la ... Your face looks so dull ... Yong (R), with his cool face as well ...

My Portuguese Style Pork Chop with Rice The sauce is very yummy, tasty and has strong curry's aromas I will rate this dish as 8/10 ...

Wen Jie's Crystal Noodle with Fishballs ... Behind (L-R) Bosch Soup, Sweet Corn Cream Soup and Desserts
See, Wen Jie has a big appetite, isn't it?

Wen Jie ordered a Butter Peach Waffle ... The chocolate brownies is delicious ...

Before we went back to METC, we dropped by a shop called, Yippee Cup, also in SS2. This is also a musical cafe which serves variety of food and beverages. However, what makes it a special place is its Milky Pearl Tea. As usual, Wen Jie got himself an Apple Milky Pearl Tea while Nic had Grape Milky Pearl Tea. Here, a close look inside the shop ...

A perfect environment to have a cup of tea and relax yourself,
or even 'yam cha' with fellow friends

A simple but creative way to decorate the shop
Can you find the wording, 'Yippee Cup' in the photo?

The drinking bar ...
The cup with 'R' indicates regular size while 'L' indicates Large size
Beside the large cup, there is this container written, ' Tips' ...
Wow, ;)

At night, we went out to Station One cafe, near to Section 15 for 'yam cha'. This time, I will say it was the first time four of us, Wen Jie, Yong, Daniel and I 'yam cha' together after we have met each other in METC. Happy Hour Time, friends .... At the same time, we played 'Cho Tai Tee' there until 1145pm before we went back home ...

Here are the awards list for our 'Chor Tai Tee'
Most consecutive cards shuffle at the end of each round: Yong
Most cards in hand: Wen Jie
Fastest win in a single game: Keith

Opps, sorry Daniel ... No award for you. Haha ...
After all, Daniel won the most games on that night. Haha :)
Congrats Daniel ...

p/s: Wen Jie, don't be sad anymore. We know it is hard for you to overcome your feeling, but let the time heals you as it passes by, ok? You have done your parts very well, it is definitely not your fault. Love is blind, yes, we agree. Maybe she is just the type ('AC Current') as what you have said ...
Our best wishes with you always ...
God Bless!!
Cheers,
Keith

SIA's A380 to make history ...

Today is the day when Singapore Airlines records down a history by being the first airline in the world to fly the mighty A380 - Superjumbo. It will be a day to be remembered by people around the world; especially the crews and staffs of SIA as a day where their new A380 embarks on its maiden voyage from Singapore to Sydney. The very first flight sets new benchmark for luxury, space and comfort in air. Indeed, it is a moment of breakthrough in aviation industry after the A380 projects had encountered plenty of criticisms from the publics as well as aviation experts after a series of failures during the manufacturing process. Furthermore, it symbolizes a moment that will change the way you view the world as you can now travel around the globe. However, there are still challenges ahead of A380's first flight, namely, the ability of worldwide airports to handle the flight operation, for example: 500++ passengers check-in in a time, immigration procedures, and cargoes distribution. Malaysia Airlines is subjected to purchase A380s from Airbus and should be receiving by this year - 2007, but due to technical defects in A380, the deliveries have been delayed. Therefore, MAS has made an option to reconsider the offers from Airbus; at the same time eyeing at Boeing 787 - Dreamliners as a potential their next target. Will A380 vastly change the development in air transportation? Or will A380 suffers a setback as what had happened to Boeing's Concorde? The world is waiting and looking closely ...

SIA's A380 was seen parking at Changi International Airport,
while maintenance personnels were carrying their tasks at the line

Here it goes, the mighty A380 soars high above the air, heading to Sydney, Australia
for its first ever flights, carrying 500++ passengers in the name of charity

A closer look at the cockpit of A380, where pilots have full control of the flights.
Wow ... Looks complicated, isn't it? Haha, not really... :)

Colourful and luxury interiors design of A380's first class seat
definitely will give its passengers the best ever feeling of warmth, pleasure, enjoyment, excitement and full comfort.

The future of A380 looks brighter than the stars?
Will Airbus be able to fulfill and achieves their dreams?
Go go, A380 ... Set your wings wide out to prove the critics wrong ...

p/s: In my opinion, I would like to see MAS buy the A380 in the future, because I want to get its Type-Rating licenses in Avionics!! Yeah ...
