Over London 2012

After 16 days of non-stop actions from Beijing, finally the curtain of the 29th edition of Summer Olympic Game is lowered down to mark its end. For these 16 days, there have been ups and downs, notably; Lin Dan won the Badminton Men's Single Final, Mr Jamaica @ Bolt dominated the field tracks with 100m world record of 9:69 seconds, Michael Phelps became the man in history for bagging 11 Gold Medals in his Olympic's career. On the other side, we all had seen how our Malaysia's favourite shuttle, Lee Chong Wei lose tamely to Lin Dan in the final as well as how Liu Xiang, the former 110 metres hurdles Olympic champion crashed out in the heat round due to serious injury. Nevertheless, it was another series of Olympic game that will be remembered by the world.

Through the Olympic, we build the nations, with the spirit of 'One World, One Dream' in our heart and souls, all the athletes compete sincerely with tireless energy to claim the honor for their beloved country. I recalled, watching a man who was lagging behind in a long-distance run, trying all his efforts to finish the race even though he suffered serious leg cramps. He stretched all his bones to the end, finally he completed the race after hours of battle. All the audiences in the stadium stood up and replied him with loud clapping hands; full of respect. A reporter then interviewed him after the race, asking "How did you manage to finish the race with a cramp?" He answered, " I run for my country, not for myself!" That's the spirit of Olympic.

For this edition of Olympic game, China, the host, as predicted earlier has been crowned as the overall champion with 51 Gold medals in the bag, finishing above United States and Australia. Definitely, it is an achievement that I, as a Chinese will be proud of. We have shown to the world that Chinese are not left behind globalization, being able to survive and adapt well in this competitive world along the main power horses from Europe and Americas. To be frank, China will face more challenges after the Olympics, particularly in terms of economy's inflation, social developments and of cause environmental pollutions. China will need to overcome all these problems if they were to continue prospering their motherland in future.

In the next four years, another series of Summer Olympic Game will be held in the city of London. Come to think about it, by the next four years, what would the world be at that time? Nobody can predict the future. Only God will decide. Personally, I hope I will be able to establish as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer by that time. That's will be my greatest achievement ...

Well done, Beijing ...
Bye bye to Bei Bei, Jing Jing,
Huang Huang, Ying Ying and Ni Ni ...

You know something, I'm somewhat glad Malaysia did not win the bid to host the Olympic games in 2012. Don't get me wrong, I'm not being unpatriotic but after watching the games esp the Opening and closing ceremony, I think it's going to be hard for future hosts to host the games as China has set a really high benchmark.

But the people in Beijing did a good job in controlling the pollution level. So kudos to China for a job well done.

And this reminds me, it's time to go to back to Beijing to see the real structure of the Bird's Nest and Watercube..

Good thing we got a silver. At least, still can match S'pore's achievements. I just hope our Malaysian athletes esp LCW would not rest their laurels. We can't just depend on LCW to deliver medals cos in 4 years time, he'll be 30. Who knows, he might have retired by then. Hope to see Malaysia in the medal tally again. Hopefully a gold in 4 years time.

I'm proud to be a Chinese but I don't think China recognises me as a Chinese!!! Dah lah i dunno how to speak Mandarin..Hahahahaha
