Game Over?

Everything seem to be going against his direction from the beginning. From sending the shuttle out of the baseline to succumbing on the net, points by points were awarded to Lin Dan, his opponent in the Beijing Olympics Men Single Final Match in Beijing Badminton Gymnasium Stadium. He is our beloved number 1 badminton player who we all look upon very much, hoping he would bring back the glory to a tiny country in the name of Malaysia. He is Lee Chong Wei.

Quite disappointing to say, Chong Wei doesn't put up a close battle, he loses tamely mainly because of his own mistakes on court while Lin Dan is making full use of the advantage of the support and cheers behind him to pile more tremendous pressure on Chong Wei. Nobody expects the clash of titan game to end in such a way, Lin Dan is seen to monopolize the game from the start. Only miracles could help Chong Wei to win the game, I would conclude. However, Chong Wei deserves the praises from all Malaysians, at least he is the one who rises the Jalur Gemilang on podium tonight, not as a champion but as 1st runner up, to the extent that, Malaysia will not return from Beijing empty-handed!!

Lin Dan continues to dominate the badminton's world, further cementing his pole position as the world champion with the Olympic Gold medal under his belts, he looks to continue doing so for the years ahead. The shadow of Taufik Hidayat, the former Olympic Gold medalist was no longer to be seen, Peter Gade is slowly growing older while crops of young Chinese badminton players are blooming now. For Malaysia, is there going to be another Lee Chong Wei in future? Sigh ...

For Chong Wei, his journey shouldn't end here, he still have the opportunity to topple Lin Dan in the badminton arena, but his only regret would be missing out of the most pretigious Olympic Gold medal. He is still young, he could still make a comeback for the next Olympic, provided he could maintain his form consistently. Go Chong Wei, don't give up ...

Thanks you Chong Wei ...
All the best ...

p/s: I think my Alpha Happy Jump
doesn't reach Chong Wei in Beijing.
