Manchester United stacked up the pressure on Arsenal to keep their distance on the pinnacle of English Premier League by 1 point adrift after sensationally overcoming Fulham at Craven Cottage with 3 goals to nil. Sir Alex was in full confident as he opted to rest Wayne Rooney and Christiano Ronaldo on the sub bench ahead of the mid-week Uefa Champions League clash with Lyon at home. United opened the scoreline as early as 15 minutes in the first half when Owen Hargreaves kicked the ball behind the net with a well taken free kick, 17 yards from goal post, thus leaving Fulham's goalkeeper, Antii Neimi looking aimlessly. It was a goal to remember for Hargreaves after 2 years goal drought when he moved from Bayern Munich and scored the first ever goal in the United's jersey. Just before the half time, South Korean's midfielder, Ji Sung Park netted in the second goal after feeding a cross from Paul Scholes from the right corner. By that, Red Devil went into the dressing room comfortably. Next, Simon Davies wrapped up the game for ManUtd after he scored an own goal, having failed to clear John O'Shea's low cross. Fulham was unable to cope with United's game play of fast pace with plenty of crosses. On the other hand, Arsenal was fighting to keep the top spot, only to manage to draw 1-1 with Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium. Manchester United is going full throttle to defend their title that they won last season. Yeah ... Glory ManUtd, Glory!
