Significance of Mother's Day

Mother's Day is just around the corner, for all Malaysians, we have set the second Sunday of May as a day where all sons and daughters will take this opportunity to appreciate and express their love to their beloved mothers, by saying " Happy Mother's Day, I love you, Mum!" Hmmm, when was your last time you told your Mum how much you love her? Can't remember? Ironically, some guys and girls remembered clearly when their partners last said the 3 Magic Words to them, sadly though, they didn't have any memory on when they told it to their Mum. Well, this is your best chance to make up for the loss; start planning a surprise for your Mum and give her the best ever Mother's Day for her to smile forever. Our Mums have never complaint, even they have to work till their bones' end to serve our needy, for 365 days non-stop, because they love you more than they love themselves. Not only that, they will always come around to massage your neck when you are tired of studying in room, talk to you and cheer you up when you are moody and discourage, prepare your meal everyday so that by the time you reach home, you will not starve to hunger. On our side, we will only miss our Mum when we don't have any money in pocket, because we all know, our Mum, without any hesitation will give you more than enough to spend. We often take good thing for granted. We think our Mum are over-controlling over our life when they advise us on the good and bad of a matter, no doubt, it will annoy you sometimes, but they do so because they want the best out of you. Agree? Part of my success today belongs to my Mum; she prays everyday for me to grow up healthily, share similar dreams and goals in life with me, and support mentally and emotionally by my side when I stumble and fall.

To all my readers, I hope this piece of post will send a wake call to you; How much your Mum have sacrificed and done for you all this while. They don't ask much nor need expensive presents such as jewelery, flowers or Tiramisu Cake to make them happy, but a simple hug with a "Happy Mother's Day" wish is sufficient to make up their day!

Hey, Keith... A very good post. An eye-opener in times when we have disagreements with our parents that no matter what, they have done so much and sacrificed so much for us without complaining. But to think about it, some of these disagreements are caused by generation-gap. After all, nobody is perfect. After reading your post, no matter how "imperfect" parents may be, their sacrifices has made them perfect already. So here's a tribute to all parents in the world (except to those who abused the kids and etc!!!). Note: Parents include fathers too. In short, mummy and daddy are the best!!!
