Evey year, for the last Saturday of third month,
people around the world join their hand together to uphold a promise,
that is, to switch off all the non-essential
and electrical appliances
for an hour from 2030 hours to 2130 hours in order
to raise awareness of drastic climate change nowadays.
On this day at that particular hour,
iconic landmarks such as Big Ben in London,
The Forbidden City in Beijing and
Sydney Opera House in Sydney
will be in total darkness.
True enough, climate change has been a serious threat to eco-biodiversity;
taking an example of the recent rare hailstorms strike in Perth a few days ago.

So, are you playing your part too in conjunction of Earth Hour 2010?

Lit up candles during power-off from 2030 hours to 2130 hours.
Save energy, save power, save our Earth!
Unless a new safer renewable power resource
has been found, one day, soon or later,
the precious petroleum and gas supply
will be depleting and eventually run-out of supply
Take your first step now,
conserve electricity!
You can make a difference!
Happy Earth Day 2010 ...
Cheers,

The point of switching off our electrical appliances during earth hour (or at any other time) is to reduce power consumption, and production, therefore reducing green house gases. lighting up a few candles during Earth Hour only serves to more carbon monoxide, ADDING to the green house gases.
